LOCTITE 277 is a high strength threadlocking adhesive. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Suitable for locking and sealing large bolts and studs.

• Prevents loosening and leakage from shock & vibration: It wicks into the grooves between the mating threads and cures into a hard thermoset plastic that strengthens the assembly against shocks and seals the threads.
• Low viscosity product: The low viscosity of this product makes it ideal for occupying the tiniest of gaps between the threads so that proper clamp load in maintained.
• Fluorescent: It has a characteristic blue colour that fluoresces under UV light. This helps during service to detect as to whether or not the product had been applied.
• Low strength: It is suitable for applications that need frequent disassembly, as it can be easily removed using standard hand tools.

Loctite 262 red thread locker is compatible with metal materials with a 24 hr. cure time. Delivers great performance with a shear strength of 1450 psi and tensile strength of 189 psi. Minimum to maximum operating temperatures are -65 F to +300 F.

Features rubber-infused technology which creates a flexible bond that resists impact, twisting and pulling. Works in all temperatures and conditions. Gel formula does not run and the squeeze side grips make dispensing the right amount of glue a snap.
